Mary Lightfoot's practice focuses on tort litigation defense, including product liability, toxic torts, mass torts, and catastrophic injury claims. She has also defended clients in employment, construction and medical malpractice matters. Along with her partner, Doug Larson, she has been retained by leading manufacturers to manage and defend monumental litigation dockets arising from the government investigation of breast implants, Ford Explorer tires and medical devices. Together, they successfully defended the only recalled tire cases to be tried in California to verdict or decision after the 2000 voluntary recall of certain tires used on the Ford Explorer, one of the largest product recalls in U.S. history.
